Here’s the traditional method designers use to create bento grids, it's called “Split Into Grid.”

1. Create a rectangle on your dartboard
2. Go to Object, Path, Split into Grid
3. Select Preview check box
4. Insert your columns and rows quantity
5. Click 'OK'
6. Round of all corners for each box.
